IBT researchers participate in First International Symposium on Crypto-Marketing

On August 31st and September 1st 2021, the First International Symposium on Crypto-Marketing took place at the University of Lucerne, with IBT researchers Emanuel de Bellis and Jonas Görgen participating. The aim of the Symposium was a focused exploration of Non-Fungible-Tokens (NFTs) and their impact on marketing research and practice, based on inspiring discussions and expert talks. The selection of speakers featured practitioners right out of the Swiss Crypto-Valley, from advertising, luxury goods, law, and more. Joined by researchers from Columbia Business School, The Wharton School, the University of Michigan, and INSEAD, the symposium dived into the potential effects of crypto developments on the classical marketing mix and beyond, with Emanuel de Bellis moderating a focused exchange on NFT and the place marketing mix dimension. We believe that with crypto-technology, exciting future avenues are opening up for research and practice alike which we are eager to explore further. Thanks to Reto Hofstetter and his team at the Institute of Marketing Analytics for two inspiring days!
