Francesc Busquet is a Research Associate and PhD Candidate at the Institute of Behavioral Science and Technology at the University of St Gallen. His research interest lies at the intersection of machine learning and business. He is currently working in the external evaluation of emotion recognition services and the development of automated voice analytics tools.
Francesc received his B.Sc. in Economics and B.Sc. in Business Administration from the University of Girona in 2016 and his M.Sc. in Innovation and Research in Informatics, in which he specialized in Machine Learning, from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 2018. Prior to IBT, he worked at the University of Girona, in which he organized the first edition of the Postgraduate degree in Big Data Analytics applied to Business and Digital Marketing.
On the personal side, he is an avid cook, a nature lover, and a passionate reader. Most of his free time he is either hiking a trail in the forest, trying a new recipe, or reading a good book.
