Marina Giglberger is a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Regensburg, currently on a visiting appointment at the Institute of Behavioral Science and Technology at the University of St. Gallen. Her research focuses on the biopsychological processes that transition acute stress into chronic stress, with particular emphasis on underlying neural mechanisms. During her stay at the IBT, Marina aims to apply AI/machine learning techniques to better understand how neural markers interact with real-world stress experiences in humans.
Marina received her B.Sc. in Psychology and her M.Sc. in Cognitive Psychology at the Paris-Lodron University Salzburg. Before pursuing her PhD, she worked as a Research Associate at the King’s College London. In 2025, Marina successfully defended her doctoral studies in Psychology at the University of Regensburg.
When not doing research, Marina enjoys staying active with sports, preferably volleyball, yoga, and running.
